Men with clean cut hairstyles are sexy, and getting our hair done is definitely part of our whole self-care regime. Wendy Stokes of trendy website The Frisky has combined a list of the five short haircuts for men that always work.
1. Crew cut
This is a standard men’s haircut style, for a simple, clean-cut look. It also a very low-maintenance style and recommended for gentlemen with thick hair that remain perfectly erect on their own. Use a little bit of hairspray to add depth and volume to your crew cut if it’s a touch sloppy or flattened in the mornings.
A crew cut’s rear and sides are usually no more than a quarter-inch long and about one inch in front.
2. Buzz cut
Another low-maintenance cut, the buzz cut is a sharp men’s haircut done with electric shears and filters. It’s a very macho, marines-style cut, but The Frisky doesn’t recommend it to anyone, only to males with oval, squared, and elongated face types with firm jawlines, sculpted cheekbones, and sharp characteristics — or to guys with thinning hairlines.
3. Classic Caesar cut
The Caesar hairstyle is a low-profile, short, fringed men’s style that is very popular among younger men. The hairstyle is distinct because the hair’s front, rear, and sides are all the same length with short, horizontally straight cut bangs, layered to around 2–5 cm (1-2 inches) all over.
4. French crop cut
The French crop cut is short on the sides and longer at the top, and is recommended (and popular) for people with floppier hair. As opposed to the other cuts, the French crop is a little more lengthy at the top and requires maintenance (and also has some variety).
5. Side part cut
This is the classic, conventional men’s haircut that always works. It gives you a clean and tidy look. This style looks best with 2 to 4 inches of hair on the top. The thicker hair you have, the more density you’ll have. A taper or fade on the edges, as well as a tapered neck, are also desirable.
